Scarecrow Spectacular

A family-friendly, daytime celebration of fall in the Milner Gardens & Woodland at VIU. Come vote on your favourite locally made scarecrow creation!

Dates: October 25th – 27th, 2024

Admission: 11:00am – 3:00pm with viewing until 3:30pm 

Cost: $10/Adults, $6/Youth, Children and current VIU students are FREE

Accessibility: The gardens are wheelchair, walker and stroller accessible. Accessible parking stalls are available in the general parking lot, a safe drop-off and pick-up zone is located near the Welcome Centre, continuous shuttle services run between the Welcome Centre and Gardener’s Cottage, and accessible washrooms at the Welcome Centre, Gift Shop and Gardener’s Cottage.

Food & Beverage: A menu of harvest-themed hot food and beverage options will be available at our outdoor food service station near Milner House. Due to an increase in traffic during special events, Milner House and the Camellia Tea Room will be closed. 

Pets: Only certified service dogs are permitted on the grounds.
